Dave Gross

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

An accomplished entrepreneur and business innovator, Mr. Gross achieved great success in the Internet, aerospace and alternative transportation fields before joining Celerus Diagnostics as its CEO. Mr. Gross has been a member of the Celerus Diagnostics Board of Directors for four years. He was the founding CEO of Fastclick, a successful Internet advertising company acquired by ValueClick in 2005. In addition to his proven business savvy, in past years Mr. Gross has applied his engineering skills to such projects as the International Space Station, Missions to Mars and early hybrid vehicles. A demonstrated leader, Mr. Gross holds degrees in Engineering and Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is also a managing partner with Great Pacific Capital of Santa Barbara.
RUSTY REED

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Mr. Reed has a diverse and extensive background in financial planning, management and analysis. Beginning as a Corporate Finance Analyst with Southwest Securities in Dallas, Texas, Mr. Reed has held various operational and management positions, including Corporate Development Director at Fastclick / ValueClick in Santa Barbara. Throughout his career, he has orchestrated various teams through successful mergers and acquisitions, dispositions and business development transactions. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Mr. Reed has also played significant roles in numerous Initial Public Offerings throughout Southern California. Mr. Reed remains as a managing partner with Great Pacific Capital of Santa Barbara, and also holds Board seats with Sirigen and Procore Technologies.
MARC KEY, PHD

CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER

With over 25 years of experience in research, development and product development, Dr. Key has held senior positions with companies such as Dako Corporation and Biogenix Corporation. He has also retained various academic appointments and positions at The National Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, State University of New York and the University of South Carolina. Dr. Key has been responsible for R & D teams who have launched hundreds of products into the Pathology Market. He also holds some of the most significant patents in the field of IHC testing. Dr. Key had a BS from Iowa State University, an MS from the University of Montana and a PhD from the Medical University of South Carolina.
MIKE WEAVER

VP OPERATIONS

Mr. Weaver joined Celerus Diagnostics as Lead Software Architect in 2006 and was instrumental in the design, development and market release of the Celerus Wave® System. In 2008, the result of considerable experience with the company's products and and their methods of manufacture, Mr. Weaver was chosen as Vice President of Operations, and brings the rigorous and scientific approach of an engineer to his role. Prior to joining Celerus, Mr. Weaver was Lead Software Engineer at CrystalVoice, a Voice over IP (VoIP) technology company located in Santa Barbara, California. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
JASON LUSK

VP SALES AND MARKETING

Prior to joining Celerus Diagnostics, Mr. Lusk was Western Regional Sales Manager at Leica Microsystems, where he directed the sales force, technical service representatives and distributors. He was promoted to this position after growing the territory sales by 200 percent. Mr. Lusk’s multidisciplinary career in diagnostics began as a laboratory technologist at Dako. He rapidly and progressively advanced to positions in Marketing, Product Development and Global Product Marketing at Dako, and ultimately held a seat on the 9-member Board of Directors in Copenhagen, Denmark. Mr. Lusk holds a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has completed Medical Marketing course work at the UCLA Anderson School of Business.
MATTHEW M. BOTKE, PE

CHIEF ENGINEER

Since receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Mr. Botke has developed a reputation for innovation and excellent design. He was the first employee to join Celerus Diagnostics in 2005 and instrumental in bringing the Celerus Wave® System to market from its conception. Prior to joining Celerus, Mr. Botke was involved in advanced concept work with Lockheed, Boeing Phantom Works, and Air Force Research Lab. He also spent several years working with NASA and Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California. In addition to publishing and presenting numerous technical papers on design, Mr. Botke has been granted one US Patent, along with one US and four worldwide patents pending. He is registered as a Professional Engineer with the State of California.
ANDREA BERTOLINI

INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION MANAGER

Expanding on a career that spans more than 15 years in diagnostics, sales, and distribution management, Dr. Bertolini is known internationally for his depth of knowledge in immunohistochemistry, molecular biology and experience in international sales and marketing. A native of Lecco, Italy, Dr. Bertolini has held key positions with medical companies and distributors throughout Europe, including Dako, LabVision, Biogenex, Bio-Optica. His experience includes managing international sales teams, product portfolios, and marketing campaigns, as well as strategic planning, budgets and business development. He contributes an extensive understanding of international trade regulations and compliance, and has also worked as a consultant and trainer. Fluent in English and Italian, he holds a degree in Biology from the University of Milano in Italy and has also studied at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
